Motivation Tuesday.

March, 5th, 2013

Today I felt energized. I woke up with a heightened sense of motivation. I knew today everyone in my class would receive their Q.E. (Qualifying Evaluation) results for Interpreting internship. This term I was really sick for a full week, which just happened to be the week before QE test. I opted out of the test since I knew I wouldn't be up to snuff.

I'm going to make a picture of me passing the Q.E.and add it to my dream board. Some people call a dream board, a vision board. You put it where you see it with all of your hopes and dreams. It's like advertisement but for yourself.  I learned this from my friend Leo and watching the movie called, "The Secret." Since you see this constantly, you start taking steps in the right direction to accomplish your goal. I am going to pass the Q.E. I have already asked a few people in the interpreting community for extra support. I getting my butt in gear people!! ahah.

After accomplishing my "30 Yum Universe Challenge" I have decided to do my own challenge of working out for 30 days. It's all about routine. If you can do it past two weeks, you can do it forever. I usually workout for three days, stop for a week or two and start the vicious cycle again. I am going to look over "Get Fit Faster" on Facebook and try their work out routines!

Breakfast:
Today I made a smoothie (picture left.) It included: maca power, hemp powder, banana, kale, blackberries, blueberries, water,  and almond butter.

Lunch:
Plus I had a sandwich with the Black Quinoa Sweet Potato Cakes on it with butter lettuce and ranch dressing

Dinner:
I ate some organic granola from People's coop with fresh almond milk! I love breakfast for dinner.

Night y'll. xo

YU 30, Day 13

Wednesday, February, 13th

I have started to notice a lot more energy. I even got one of my friends from school to work out with me. Ha! Have you ever heard of the four minute work outs? It looks like this from Get Fit Faster CA...

I know you are thinking no sweat. HA! Try it and you'll be doing nothing but sweating. Remember to have water on hand to chug in your ten seconds of rest.

Breakfast:
banana’s and apple’s. simplicity.

Lunch:
Simple salad with kale, tomato, avocado, and walnuts with a red wine vinegar. I chopped up everything and add the vinegar. I was starving! It hit the spot.

It's interesting how hungry I get and how satisfied I feel after indulging on healthy food.

Dinner:
This was a little bland for our tasting. Perhaps we will add some red pepper to the sauce to spice it up a little bit. It might have been bland too because we used normal mushrooms instead of portobello,

Why Are We Craving Junk Food?

Saturday, January, 19th

I have noticed that I don't get tired after I eat my food, nor does my stomach get upset as much. I think it's because I am eating more Plant Based foods. I found this realistic picture of what it stomach looks like (image left) on Get Fit Faster. They have really cool motivational quotes, recipes, and pictures to work. it. out.

I researched the picture above to see where it brought me and Annie Jaffrey explains wonderfully why people are addicted to bad food and what to do about it. Another interesting snapshot of what we eat is image left. Crazy right?! This explains why we our body keeps telling us we are hungry after eating junk food, even though we've eaten a full meal. In return, we gain weight to over consummate the lack of nutrition.

Bay and I have also watched some very informative documentaries on Netflix. We have watched the documentaries: "Fork over Knives" and "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead," and "No Impact Man." We were blown away by the brainwashing by the FDA. The FDA is controlled by the government. They are the ones who do the studies of what is "safe" for us. Unfortunately, the people who are on the FDA board are the owners of huge corporations in dairy and meat products. Have you noticed all of the advertisements are primarily dairy and meat?

They also showed studies of GMO's, meat, dairy and how they are link to cancer as well as our nations history. Their are so many stories of how people stop taking medication by changing what they consume while adding an exercise routine.

The movie "No Impact Man" showed how him and his wife had no carbon foot print for a year in New York. I really want to make a food compost in my house like he did. The majority of my food products are scraps from fruits and vegetables. This means less garbage, less waste, and less impact on our environment. Cool!
