Dinner:
Tonight is our night to make food for the week, well for most of the week. We made Black and Bean soup as well as Yellow Split Pea Soup with sweet Potatoes and Kale.
The black bean soup we messed up on the recipe. We added the boiling water separate to black beans and other ingredients. Then we added it to the blender. Why did we do it this way? I am not really sure. Lol. But next time we will make it right. It still tasted delicious anyways.
The Yellow Split Pea soup was delicious. We made tons of it and put it in our huge mason jar. The soup was a little bit thick for our liking. We had to adjust the recipe, because it asked for large pressure cooker or pot. We used my cool rice cooker to cook up the lentils. It did a great job in a little bit of time. Surprisingly enough it was too spicy either.
